The two-T20Is and five ODIs series will begin on February 24 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru but ahead of the on-field battles, the promotions have all been over the infamous babysitting episode between Rishabh Pant and Tim Paine.Virender Sehwag began the babysitting commercial, where he can be seen with a bunch of kids wearing Australian jerseys, saying: “Jab hum Australia gaye the, toh unhone poocha tha babysitting karoge? Humne kahaa sabke sab aajaao. Zaroor karenge [When we had gone to Australia, they asked us, will you babysit? We said all of you come, we will surely do].”Hayden has responded to the ad and Sehwag on social media by saying, “Never take Aussie’s for a joke Viru Boy.”Now Hayden has joined Sehwag in a new commercial for the series. Sehwag begins the new commercial by bringing bottles of milk for the kids adorning Australian jerseys. He goes to one kid and says, “Beta aap bhi doodh pee lo, warna Kohli aa jayega [Son, you also have milk, otherwise Kohli will come]” and the kid has an expression of disdain. As Sehwag turnaround, a ball hits the bottles in hand and they all fall in the tray. Hayden then enters the ad beaming and says, “Viru Paaji, Australians ko bachcha mat samajhna!”I do not want to say ‘I told you so’ but guess what, I TOLD YOU SO, @virendersehwag!The Aussies are up for the #babysitting challenge from Feb 24 on Star Sports. #INDvAUS Hayden AM (@HaydosTweets) February 16, 2019All the kids then begin smiling wide and clap along. This babysitting anecdote began during the third day of the Boxing Day Test, when Australian captain and wicketkeeper Paine asked Pant, who was batting then: “Do you babysit? I can take my wife to the movies while you watch the kids.”When Pant got the chance in the following innings, he referred to Paine as the “temporary captain” and mocked him from behind the stumps.During Indian team’s New Year meet with Australian Prime Minister, Pant was pictured with Paine’s wife Bonnie and his kids and the photograph posted by Bonnie went viral. The joke went so viral that during the Sydney Test in January, the Bharat Army even dedicated a song to Babysitter Pant.Pant even reacted to the advertisement on Twitter as he wrote, “Viru paaji showing me how to be better at cricket and babysitting an inspiration always!”The first T20I between India and Australia will be held on February 24 at the M. first_imgzoomImage Courtesy: DP World Dubai-based terminal operator DP World Limited is off to a good start in terms of volume growth across its terminals. The company handled 17.6 million TEU across its global portfolio of container terminals in the first quarter of 2018, marking an increase of 7.3 percent for gross container volumes year-on-year on a reported basis, and 8.4 pct on a like-for-like basis. This is well ahead of Drewry Maritime’s industry estimate of 4.6 pct global throughput growth for the first quarter of 2018, DP World said announcing the results. The rise in volumes in the first quarter was driven by continued recovery in global trade, with the company’s terminals across Europe, Middle East & Africa and Australia, delivering growth.“Following a strong year for the global container market in 2017 with peak levels since 2011, our portfolio has had an encouraging start to 2018 delivering ahead-of-market growth,” Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem commented.Specifically, UAE handled 3.8 million TEU, growing 2.9 pct year-on-year in Q1 2018. At a consolidated level, DP World’s terminals handled 9.2 million TEU during the first quarter of 2018, a 6.6 pct improvement in performance on a reported basis and up 6.8 pct year-on-year on a like-for-like basis.“While the trade environment may appear more benign, geopolitical headwinds in some regions continue to pose uncertainty. Nevertheless, we still expect to grow ahead of the market and see increased contributions from our new investments.“The first quarter volume performance demonstrates that our portfolio is well positioned to deliver growth, and our continued focus on delivering operational excellence as well as a disciplined investment should ensure that we remain the port operator of choice across geographies,” Bin Sulayem said.last_img read more

first_imgThe café provided the main dishes of the meal, which included 4 turkeys, cornbread stuffing, mash potatoes and gravy. We were lucky to have Melanie Husband agree to cook, this marking her fifth year of preparing the main dishes. Although Melanie cooked the turkeys, one tradition that has held through the years is for Tomiaki Tamura to carve the turkey. November 30, 2015It was a time for celebrating at Arcosanti, as residents, alumni, family and visitors gathered for Thanksgiving. Every year the café hosts a warm and cozy space filled with laughter, cheer and lots of food.[all photos by Sue Kirsch, text by Hildemar Cruz] To keep true to the spirit of giving the attendees provided the rest of the fixings, which included hearty family recipes and dishes from all over the world to satisfy all types of dietary needs. The abundance of food was so great; we even had a table just for desserts! Old friends reunited and each table had a great mix of new comers and old timers.Graciously, one of the most timeless traditions in Arcosanti’s Thanksgiving meals is the toast of gratitude at the end.last_img read more

first_imgCanal+ has struck a partnership with Apple to enable its subscribers to rent the Apple TV 4K box for €6 a month and use it as their primary TV box to receive the pay TV operator’s services. In a move described by Canal+ CEO Maxime Saada as a “philosophical revolution” in its distribution strategy, Canal+ will offer the Apple TV box, described by Saada as “the best decoder on the market”, instead of providing its own IPTV box.Canal+ subscribers who use Apple TV will have access to content in 4K and HDR, the Apple App Store, Apple Music. Siri and other features.Canal+ is also offering an enhanced sports offering with Multi-Live functionality – meaning that several live streams can be viewed simultaneously on the same screen, and Mode Expert, providing an overlay of live statistics.Canal+ has already made its MyCanal app available via the Apple TV box. However, the commercial alliance goes a step beyond that by offering Apple TV as a decoder for Canal+ subscribers. The move is targeted primarily at younger consumers who are willing and able to change their existing TV box for Apple TV, and for those who subscribe to Canal+’s OTT TV service.Canal+ will continue to provide a dedicated satellite box for those taking its DTH offering – currently about two in five of its overall base in metropolitan France – and Canal+ will continue to be available via the IPTV boxes of Orange, Free and Bouygues, with which the pay TV outfit has distribution agreements. The pay TV operator recently launched a new version of its satellite box. The 4K Ultra HD-capable G9 was launched in January, providing satellite and OTT services to multiple devices.Canal+ subscriptions via Apple TV will begin from €19.99. However, Apple will likely be hoping that users of the box are more likely than the average consumer to subscribe to additional higher-tier services. Canal+ has not divulged the terms of its agreement with Apple, including how much it is investing in acquiring Apple TV devices to rent to its customers.“We are proud toe offer Apple TV 4K and our unique selection of programming to our millions of subscribers in France. The Canal offerings reach close to one French household in five and with MyCanal we are making available to everyone features that will captivate a great number of users. Apple TV represents the perfect showcase for our premium exclusive content, in particular the cinema, sport and our original creations,” said Frank Cadoret, deputy CEO of Canal+ France.“We think that Canal’s customers are going to love using Apple TV 4K as their decoder. Customers will be able to benefit from a rich and user-friendly experience to watch their favourite Canal programmes, as well as accessing Apple services, including the App Store and Apple Music,” said Oliver Schusser, vice-president of Apple Music and international content at Apple.last_img read more
